Changing Darts to Seams

Seams go from one edge to another. Darts do not. When you change a dart to a seam, the seam should pass close to the point of the dart. Seams can be taped together just as you did for the darts.

Draw Seam Lines Tape toTowel Initial Cut
  1. On a copy of the Master Pattern, draw the seam lines you want.
  1. Tape the pattern to a towel.
  1. Cut the towel without cutting the top.
Cut new seam lines Tape Seam
Finish bottle
  1. Cut the towel along the seam lines.
  1. Tape the seams closed.
  1. Finish the project by adding a waistband.
